Real Sick, Universe.

What strange whim of fate has decreed that the happiest time of year (aka The Holidays) is also the most germy! The majority of my family is sick...even the dog! What is up with that? Maybe it's the Universe's way of making us slow down and spend time together..."Be sick, enjoy," the Universe says in a soothing mellow voice. "I know you have things to do, school to attend, work to get done...but will it kill you to miss a few days of all that and just rest?" I don't know if this will kill us, but it's sure trying hard. Seriously, if it weren't for the stockpile of severe cold medicine, industrial size boxes of Kleenex and Disney DVD's...we'd be in major trauma around my house. And what a time of year to be sick!!! There is something almost every night this month and we have been missing a lot of it. So we are doing our best to thwart the Universe and it's microscopic death bugs....with any luck, we'll be over it all before the bulk of the Holidays gets here...just in time to gather the entire family together again...and spread entirely new bugs around. Thanks, Universe....that's real sick.

Got your blog Tonya! Thanks for sending it. Sorry to hear you are all sick. We've been the rounds with bad colds twice (luck my I didn't get it) then the night before Thanksgiving.....stomach flu. Started with my son, then his girlfriend, then me.......today my husband woke up with it. Nightmare.
Anyway, hang in there, get better quickly. Lots of holiday bussle.
Love you,
Melanee

Tonya you are so clever with your words. I am so sorry that your family has experienced this. We have had the mild sniffles but not anything major..knock on wood. I have a theory that the fresh mandarin oranges from costco are blocking the germs in my house. Those oranges are delicious and my kids eat 2-3 a day since they can peel them easily...who knows? Get well soon!

I love sick day's except for the sick part. Don't you love spending time in your PJ's, drinking soup, and watching movies?

I like your blog backround. Do you pay for them to make your title?

I hope you guys are doing okay. Let me know if you need anything. It is crazy. Our whole family had the stomach flu over Thanksgiving. It was ridiculous! Anyway, thanks again for your sweet comments. You are an amazing person and always have a warm heart with people. Your girls did awesome tonight at the piano recital. What a neat talent to have!

Thanks for the well wishes everybody! We are all feeling much better..just the lingering cough and sniffles. I am making everyone take lots of airborne and eat oranges (thanks for the good advice Melanie!) I do love sick days without being sick too! If I could just deal with the guilt somehow...

BTW, Annette...I'm too cheap to pay anyone else to do graphics for me...I just make them myself to match the free backgrounds I find online! They're okay...someday I'll be as good as you are!

Thanks again for all the love and concern!

Sorry you and your family have been feeling yucky! We've missed you at work. I have blog page construction questions for you (since you are the techno-blogpage expert) when you return. I hope you can enjoy your weekend. Have you viewed the movie for a fourth time yet?

Tonya-
Thanks for posting on my blog. Your blog is so cute and I agree with you about "Twilight" the movie. I loved it and even though I havn't read the books yet I know I will enjoy reading them. I'm glad that you're family is starting to get better. Next time your family starts getting even a scratchy throat, try using "Sootherbs" lozenges. They are less expensive and can keep you from getting the full blown cold or flu. They usually work for my family. You can get them at Wal-Mart on the isle you get airborne and zicam. Good luck!
