Family Night Friends

We had one of the sisters in our ward, Sister Pam Jewell, invite us to her house for Family Night tonight. She said she tries to invite one family a month, to get to know everyone, which I thought was an awesome idea!

She took care of everything...we just showed up and helped a bit with the lesson on Prayer. She planned some fun activities: a tag game and painting prayer rocks, and we ended the evening with brownie sundaes! A much better treat than they would have gotten if we'd stayed home.

We had a really great time! Thanks Sister Jewell! It was fun to get to know you better.

Isn't Pam sweet?! She had my family over a few weeks ago. I so admire her for doing that. She was so sweet to plan a lesson for my little ones. They loved going to her house.

Tonya,
I wasn't sure where else to contact you so I thought I post a comment. My name is Tiffany De Masters and I'm a reporter for the Spectrum. I received a tip from my editor about Scott who rides his bike to save money and gas. I know it's late but I would like to write a story about this. Please contact me if you're still interested.

What a great experience for your whole family. Our ward just had an activity for the adults. We had small dinner parties in groups of ten. It was a lot of fun getting to know ward members better. It makes me more excited to have other members over for dinner. But I like Sister Jewell's family home evening idea to. So many choices...I love it!
